Reports show that 36-year-old-woman, Brandy Ann Emery, was critically injured in a car accident around 10 p.m. on Sunday, June 20.
Emery was driving her 1998 Kia a little east of Fort White on County Road 18 when she lost control of her vehicle, hit a tree stump and spun.
When the sheriff's deputies found her she was partially ejected from the car and struggling to breathe. One deputy helped to straighten Emery and hold her head to allow her to breathe easier while the other dealt with the gasoline and smoke coming from the Kia's engine.
Later, Emery was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
